Fishing
Catch and release, or fish for dinner? You are welcome to try fishing in the lake. Mainly perch and pike, but many other types too. Vermundsjøen is connected to the Flisa river and from there to Glomma River, the longest and largest river in Norway.
Hiking
Explore the forest by foot or bike. Many unpaved roads take you around in the forest. A marked trail called "Finnskogleden" passes the area. It is a total of 240 km and stretches in the south from Morokulien in Eidskog to Søre Osen in Trysil municipality.
